Alfred Charles Buckby was
born in Desborough about 1900, the son of
William Buckby and
Mary Elizabeth Yeomans.
He enlisted in the Territorial Army in August 1915, claiming to be over 19 when
he was in fact only 15 years old. He was found out and discharged the following
January.
