Samuel Andrews, alias "Straity"

Game Trespass, March 1894

His 44th Appearance.—Samuel Andrews, alias "Straity," shoe hand, Desborough, was brought up in custody charged with a game trespass at Rushton on March 9. There were two other charges against defendant, viz., game trespass at Rushton on 28th of March, and similar offence at Harrington on March 10.

—A gamekeeper named Worley deposed to seeing defendant shoot a hare on land belonging to Mr. Willows on March 9.

—In the second case evidence was given by William Feetham, gamekeeper.

—Defendant pleaded guilty to the third case, and the facts were stated by John Cox, a gamekeeper.

—Defendant refused to pay in either case, and was sent to prison for two months hard labour.
