FOWL STEALING NEAR KETTERING

At the same sessions [Kettering Sessions, 15th Oct. 1897] Albert King, shoe rivetter, and George Summerley, shoe hand, both of Desborough, were brought up in custody, charged with stealing five tame fowls, values 12s. 6d., at Desborough, between Oct. 10 and 12.—They pleaded not guilty, and made a rambling statement as to their whereabouts.— King was discharged, but Summerley was sent to prison for one month with hard labour.
