Henry Vines

Summons, 14th February 1868

Henry Vines was summoned to show cause why he should not contribute to the support of his son, Robt. Henry Vines, who is in the Akbar reformatory ship.

— Defendant's earnings were stated to be 17s. 6d. per week, and out of that amount he said he paid 5s. a week for lodging for himself and his two children, 1s. a week for his fire and gas in the shop where he worked, and had to pay a boy for assisting him. He had himself and two children to keep out of the balance.

— The case was adjourned to Monday.
