... The Chairman then proceeded to read the awards, as follows:
SHEPHERDS.—a prize of £1 to Wm. Rowlatt, shepherd to Mr. Rook, of
Weldon, for raising 247 lambs from 200mewes, long-wooled breed. The same
man having taken the 2d prize in 1839.
£1 to John Linnett,
shepherd to Mr. Cave, of Desborough, for raising 107 lambs to 91 ewes,
same breed.
