The Examination of William Caris taken Concerning his Last
legal Settlement on the 19th Day of January in the Year of our
Lord 1740/1
This Examination upon Oath Saith he was Born at Thur Langton
in the county of Leicester that when he war Eleven Years of Age
or there abouts he was Bound as an Apprentice to William Caris
his father, a Weaver for the Space of Seven Years and Served the
Same Accordingly Since which he hath done no Act or thing what
so Ever to Gain himself a Legal Settlement Else where and
further Saith not
