We John Rowlat  John Orsborn  Thos Rice & Thos Reesby Church Wardens and Overseers of y^e poor of y^e parish of Corby in y^e County of Northampton aforesaid do hereby own and acknowledge James Loak and his wife and Family to be our Inhabitants legally settled in y^e parish of Corby in y^e County of Northampton aforesaid In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our Hands and Seals this Ninth Day of July in y^e 18th Year of y^e Reign of our Sovereign Lord George y^e Second by y^e Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of y^e Faith and in y^e year of our Lord 1744

To y^e Church Wardens and Overseers of Desborough in y^e said County of Northampton or to any or either of them

We whose Names are hereunto subscribed two of his Majesties Justices of y^e Peace for y^e said County of Northampton aforesaid do allow of y^e above Written Certificate and we do also Certify that Giles Loak one of y^e Witnesses who Attested y^e Execution of y^e said Certificate hath made Oath before Us that he did see the Church Wardens and Overseers whose Names and Seals are to y^e sd Certificate subscribed and set severally, Sign and Seal y^e said Certificate and that y^e markes of y^e said Richard Yeomans and Giles Loak whose names are above subscribed as Witnesses to y^e Execution of y^e said Certificate are of their own proper Hand Writing dated y^e Ninth Day of July in y^e year of our Lord 1744
