County of Northampton  To Wit.

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Desborough in the said County, and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Gilmorton in the County of Leicester and to each and every of them.

UPON the complaint of the churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the Parish of Desborough aforesaid, in the said county of Northampton unto us, whose names are hereunto set, and seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said county of Northampton and one of us of the quorum, that William Wallis hath come to inhabit in the said parish of Desborough not having gained a legal settlement there, nor produced any certificate, owning him to be settled elsewhere, and that the said William Wallis hath become chargeable to the said parish of Desborough. We, the said Justices, upon due proof made thereof, as well upon the examination of the said William Wallis upon oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the premises, do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge that the lawful settlement of him the said William Wallis is in the said parish of Gilmorton in the said county of Leicester.

We do therefore require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said parish of Desborough or some or one of you, or any proper person or persons to be employed by you, to convey the said William Wallis from and out of your said parish of Desborough to the said parish of Gilmorton and him to deliver to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this our order, or a true copy thereof; and we do also hereby require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said parish of Gilmorton to receive and provide for him as an inhabitant of your parish.

Given under our hands and seals the second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Nineteen.
