Frances Hulbert
Removal Order 9th September 1805
from Desborough to Great Oakley

County of Northampton To wit.

To the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Desborough in the said County and to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Great Oakley in the said County and to each and every of them.

UPON the Complaint of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Desborough aforesaid, in the said County of Northampton unto us, whose names are hereunto set, and seals affixed, being two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the said County and one of us of the quorum, that Frances Hulbert Single woman - Supposed to be with Child - hath come to inhabit in the said Parish of Desborough not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor produced any certificate, owning her to be settled elsewhere, and that the said Frances Hulbert has become chargeable to the said Parish of Desborough

We, the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon the Examination of the said Frances Hulbert upon oath, as otherwise, and likewise upon due consideration had of the premises, do adjudge the same to be true; and we do likewise adjudge, that the lawful settlement of her the said Frances Hulbert is in the said Parish of Great Oakley in the said County of Northampton

We do therefore require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Desborough or some, or one of you, to convey the said Frances Hulbert from and out of your said Parish of Desborough to the said Parish of Great Oakley and her to deliver to the churchwardens and overseers of the poor there, or to some, or one of them, together with this our order, or a true copy thereof; And we do also hereby require you the said churchwardens and overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Great Oakley to receive and provide for her as an inhabitant of your said Parish

Given under our hands and seals the ninth day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and five.
