Sarah was the
fourth of eleven children known to date of
George Sumner and
Ann Watson. She was
baptised at Desborough on 01 Jan 1778.
Stephen was
George and Ann's ninth child. He was baptised on 14 Feb 1787.
The couple had earlier lost two daughters, Ann and Jane, who had both died
before they were a month old.
