John Letts
was born about 1800 at Haselbech in Northamptonshire where he was later an
innkeeper and farmer.
Lucy Goddard was born about 1801 at
Langton in Leicestershire. She and John were married
at Thorpe Langton on 6th Feb 1826.
The The couple lived at Haselbech where their 7 (known) children were born, John was
an innkeeper and farmer.
Note: Lucy's death certificate records her age as 52 (informant Ann Letts, her
daughter). The layout of the memorial suggests that her name was added to her
husband's memorial more than 10 years after her death, so it is likely that the
error is here rather than on her death certificate.
