John Freer was
born in Wilbarston about 1846. He married
Sarah Jane Sanders,
also born in Wilbarston, but four years later.
The couple were married in 1868. They were living in Desborough by 1871.
They had ten children, all born in Desborough. By 1911 only 3 of their
children were still living with them:
Edward, working as
a licensed hawker,
Frederick Harry, working as a mason's labourer, and their youngest,
Elsie, working as
a shop assistant.
