In Loving Memory of

WILLIAM BURDITT,
WHO DIED MAY 29TH 1893.
Aged 62 Years

ELLEN, THE BELOVED WIFE OF THE ABOVE
WHO DIED JULY 13th 1905.
AGED 70 YEARS.

William Burditt was born in 1830, the eldest (known) child of Ebenezer Burditt and Elizabeth Hanger.

Ellen was born in 1835, the seventh (known) child of Thomas and Mary Ginns. Ellen and William were married in 1855 and went on to have ten children.

William was a silk weaver in his youth, but in the 1860s moved into the shoe trade. Ellen was an embroideress in her teens and a lace runner in her twenties.
