Islington Workhouse records show the discharge of Sarah and Jane Hedington on 28th July,
the same date the birth was registered. From this record, it looks as if Sarah was
unmarried, and on the next census she is shown as unmarried.
However the younger child's birth certificate (Helen) shows her mother's maiden name as Cox, and gives a name and profession for her father. I've found no record of a marriage and no other record that lists Harry and Sarah together.
