Army Deserter, May 1863

Northampton Borough Petty Sessions. Friday, May 3rd.

A Deserter.— George Andrews, Desborough, Northamptonshire, was charged with deserting from the Grenadier Guards, in May, 1863.

— Inspector Evans apprehended the prisoner, who said he was drunk at the time, and did not know he had enlisted.

— Remanded, in order that the usual communications may be made with the War Office.
