GEORGE ERNEST AIERS

BORN 10-5-1881 CONONLEY YORKSHIRE.

DIED 3-4-1965 KETTERING.

George Ernest Aiers was was the son of George Aiers, of Southam in Warwickshire, and Elizabeth Smith, of Kettering. In 1891 the family were living at Tilbrook in Bedfordshire where George senior was Station Master. In 1901 George junor was boarding in Desborough, where he was working as a Railway Clerk.

George junior married Lucy Marlow in 1904. By the 1907, when their daughter Dorothy was born, they were living in Lowdham in Nottinghamshire. By the 1911 census George junior was Station Master at Lowdham. Lucy died on 24th April 1917. Her memorial is in Desborough Cemetery.
