Jonathan Deacon was born in Desborough in 1785. He
was a wheelwright, as was one of his sons.
His wife Ann (maiden name not yet known) was born
in 1786, in Market Harborough. They were married by 1815.
They had seven (known) children, all born in Desborough. The two mentioned on this memorial are
Ann, who married
George Tailby, a butcher from Braybrooke; and
Amy, who married
John Davison, another butcher from Lavendon in
Buckinghamshire.
