Isaac was the second known child of Thomas Freer and Mary his wife. He was baptised at the Wesleyan Chapel in Desborough in 1813.

Lucy was the second known child of Richard Smith and Charlotte his wife. She was baptised at the parish church on 14 Sep 1817.

Lucy and Isaac were probably married by 1840 when the first of eight known children was born.

IsaaIsaac worked as a silk weaver until at least 1881, at which time the census showed him as 'disabled silk weaver'. The following census shows Isaac and Lucy as living on parish relief.

Unfortunately this memorial is severely corroded. I've cleaned around the characters as far as I can make them out. Feel free to request a copy of the original if this memorial is particularly of interest to you.
