William Glover
was born about 1832 at Rothwell, the son of
James Glover and
Sarah Holland.
In 1859 William married
Elizabeth Foster.
She was the daughter of
Robert Foster,
a master tailor, and his wife
Elizabeth Sharp.
Robert was the couple's second son. He died in the second Boer War (1899
-1902).
