John Robinson was born in 1837, the fifth (known)
child of Stephen Robinson and
Ann Aprice. He was a silk weaver in his early life,
moving into the shoe trade and finishing as manager of the Co-operative Store.
He married Ann Marlow in 1863.
Ann was born in 1840, the daughter of Robert
Marlow and Ann Robinson.
